Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chief Executive Director of Bahrain Islamic Bank

On April 8, during his working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chief Executive Director of Bahrain Islamic Bank Hassan Ameen Jarrar.

Bahrain Islamic Bank is the first Islamic bank in the Kingdom supervised by the Central Bank of Bahrain and is listed on the Bahrain Stock Exchange. At present, the bank is actively working in the field of Islamic finance. Innovation, strong corporate management and the use of modern technologies to provide customer service have strengthened the position of the Islamic Bank of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf.

During his meeting with the Executive Director of the Bahrain Islamic Bank, Minnikhanov briefly described the social and economic situation of Tatarstan as one of the developed regions of Russia. He emphasized that Tatarstan is a pilot region of the country to introduce the principles of Islamic banking and financing and offers good opportunities for cooperation in this area.

At the end of the meeting, Tatarstan President told about the annual International Economic Summit "Russia-Islamic World: “KazanSummit ", which has become an effective platform for economic cooperation between Russia and the Muslim world. He invited Hassan Ameen Jarrar to attend the 10th KazanSummit Summit to be held in Kazan on May 10-12, 2018 as a guest of honour.
