Minister of Economy of the UAE intends to take part in KazanSummit

On April 9, on the sidelines of the Eighth Annual Investment Meeting, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori.

Minnikhanov thanked Sultan Al Mansoori for the invitation to take part in the Eighth Annual Investment Meeting and the opportunity to place the stand of the Republic of Tatarstan for presentation of the investment opportunities of the region. “The topic of meetings in Dubai is of special interest to us. We put a greater emphasis on sustainable economic development and attracting direct foreign investment. Our annual participation in the meeting gives practical results on enhancing cooperation with the emirates and other partners. Due to the meeting, we gain valuable experience in the field of exhibition activities, including the implementation of the Kazan Expo project. Tatarstan actively cooperates with the emirate's business in attracting direct foreign investment, construction and logistics, shipbuilding, agriculture, tourism, the development of Islamic finance and the halal industry”, Minnikhanov said.

“The UAE is one of the most attractive partners for the development of economic contacts. The governments and business communities of our countries are making efforts to enhance cooperation in various fields. Tatarstan is ready to take an active part in these processes at the regional level. The United Arab Emirates is our leading partner in the region”, Minnikhanov emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, Tatarstan President thanked the UAE Minister of Economy for his interest to Kazan. “Thank you for responding to my invitation to take part in the 10th International Economic Summit “Russia - the Islamic world: KazanSummit” on May 10-12 this year. We are waiting for you in a month in Tatarstan, where we will continue our dialogue”, he concluded.
