Tatarstan President launches new production at the Kazan Helicopter Plant

On March 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and CEO of Russian Helicopters, part of State Corporation Rostec, Andrey Boginsky took part in the launching of a new workshop of galvanic production.

“Due to the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Rostec Corporation and the Helicopters of Russia, a project on the deep modernization of the Kazan Helicopter Plant was implemented,” Minnikhanov noted.

Today, the Kazan Helicopter Plant handed over the first medical helicopter Ansat to the State Transport Leasing Company under a new contract. The Plant plans to transfer 11 more cars to the customer in the first half of 2018. The Plant transferred six helicopters Ansat in a medical modification to the State Transport Leasing Company last year. The volume of the order has increased to 12 machines this year. In total, the Helicopters of Russia Holding Company plans to supply 31 helicopters of various types to the State Transport Leasing Company.

Minnikhanov further inspected the facilities of the new workshop, talked to the plant's staff. The modernization of production will give an opportunity to increase efficiency of plant by 15 per cent. The investment in the project amounted to two billion roubles, 70 per cent of which are own funds, and 30 per cent are allocated from the federal budget.

Located in a new building, a wastewater treatment plant with modern pump equipment will increase the ecological properties of production and will save about 2.3 million roubles a year.

The opened today workshop is intended for applying coating to galvanochemical and paint pieces and also for weldbonding of panels.
