Sergey Kuznetsov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates, passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 68.
Sergey Kuznetsov devoted his entire life to the diplomatic service. Since 1985, he has worked on various positions at the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad, held posts of Consul General of the Russian Federation in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Djibouti and the Federal Republic of Somalia concurrently. Since 2019, S. Kuznetsov has represented Russia in the UAE.
